Are you aware of any studies suggesting that the millenial republican thought of the Scottish covenanters (particularly the radical « Cameronians » of the 1680’s) influenced the religious/political ideology of the Caminsards? In some respects the ideas of the two groups seem similar, and there was close contact between Scottish and French protestants in the 17th century. (I hope you will pardon a message in English: I read French well, but I do no write it accurately.) Thank you for your attention.
